It is an honor to be invited to contribute to this special issue of Travel Africa dedicated to photographing across the continent. This edition is filled with stunning imagery and thoughtful insight from photographers working throughout Africa.
To be selected for my work with tribal communities is particularly meaningful, as these images are the result of years of building trust, understanding, and connection in some of the most remote regions of the continent. They represent not just moments captured, but relationships formed over time.
It is with this same passion and intimacy that I design tribal expedition journeys into remote regions with communities I have long-standing relationships with, where time is spent together, and the experience unfolds naturally. These are places and moments that offer a rare, intimate glimpse into lives that are not easily seen or understood, and which are becoming increasingly difficult to access as travel becomes more commercialized.
There are just two spaces remaining for 2027. I won’t be offering this journey in 2028, so for those who feel drawn to go a little deeper, join us!
