The past few weeks…..

img_5901

The past few weeks I have been on safari through Botswana with an incredible group of people that ended with four days in Mana Pools, Zimbabwe; a pristine wilderness area and safari style like back in the days of Hemmingway. A truly magical experience that went far beyond the images we captured, as we walked through the landscape photographing on foot. Throughout the journey we met up with several photographers, driving brilliantly modified self-contained safari vehicles, working out in the field. It was the people we met along the way, with such passion for the African bush and its exotic wildlife that added so much value to our memories of a lifetime. Although we are now back in route to the city and one can shake the rich red soil from their boots, a safari experience in Africa will always remain in one’s soul.

Over the years, I have often written that an African safari is something I wish everyone could experience at least once in their lives; an experience that so radically changed my life and destiny. Now, twelve years later, I am still in awe of the magic of this continent, the beauty of its people, and the passionate way it continues to enrich my life, which is why I recently launched the Generosity Campaign as a way to say, “Thank you.” It has been such a privilege for me to be able to travel through this incredible continent, share my passion with the world, and take you along on this creative journey. My hope is that it has inspired you on your journey and it will inspire you to add your name to the growing list of those supporting the campaign. A project that will help to brighten the lives of those who live with so little, yet add so much beauty to our world.

    Hi Piper,
Did you walk with a Guide named Stretch when in Mana Pools? He is obviously very tall, and is a great, but crazy guide. He knows all the elephants there extremely well. He is a super person to get to know.
I will be at NANPA in March to promote my Madagascar trip. Hopefully, it will go as planned. I am currently in LA for the G2 Gallery reception tonight. Monika is the new curator who has taken over Jolene’s position. The entire gallery has been renovated so I am excited to see the changes tonight. Susan said that she hasn’t even seen the changes. It should be good.
    All the best to you.
