Travel Photographer of the Year – Finalist

Travel Photographer of the Year

Wow has this been a crazy, but unbelievable year. Just before boarding the plane in Nairobi, heading back to the US, I received an email that two of my portfolios had been selected as finalist for the Travel Photographer of the Year; one for my tribal work and one for my wildlife work. The chosen images had to be printed and sent to London for the final round of jugging.  I like that the judges will be looking at real prints rather than viewing them on a big screen. The winning portfolios and images will be part of an exhibit at the Royal Geographic society in London. Beyond the possibility of wining is the honor just to sit on a list with so many talented photographers, both in travel and wildlife photography, who I greatly admire and who have inspired me for many years. Good luck to everyone!
