I am just 2 weeks away from and incredible journey and as you can tell by the date of my last post the list seems to be getting longer and time seems to be getting shorter. I started this new blog as a place for not only for photographers, but for everyone to be inspired to pursue a passion. My journey started 6 years ago when I took my first trip to Africa and it is why I know that positive change happens when person is touched through a personal experience and people act with passion when they are emotionally and physically involved. Passion creates vision and voice. When I came to the decision to take a leap of faith, walk away from a career because I knew I could not look back in 20 years and be more disappointed by the things I did not have the courage to do, I searched for stories of others who have taken this path of risk. Who really does this, and does it work? Well I did not find the stories, that I know must be out there, so I decided if I was going to jump I would share it all with you.
Many times I will be speaking as a photographer, but I think the stories will resonate with everyone who has a dream and wants to actively pursue it. I soon will write a blog on preparing for risk and working through the fear. I can tell you this so far, doors are opening and so many opportunities have come to me that would never had happened if I did not take the risk. I hope my transition will inspire you to prepare to live your passion and have as many experiences as you can in this short time we are here.
Something to ponder..
Picture your self 20, 30, 40 years from now, you are on the porch, sitting with friends and family… is it the experiences in life that were important, or the things you acquired.
You are amazing! Your story of courage will inspire many people through their tough times. You are learning to reach into the dark recesses of your soul and bring out your power. Whether you know it or not you are on a spiritual journey. I commend you for that and send to you the Divine protection, courage, compassion and direction of the Angels. Thank you for sharing your journey with the world.
