Hidden Treasures – Zambia

SOLD OUT

The Lower Zambezi, one of Africa’s most scenic wilderness areas, offers an enchanting escape into its timeless beauty. Here, you can experience a sense of yesteryear, capturing the essence of an Africa that is rapidly disappearing across the continent. The luxurious yet simple camps evoke the days of Hemingway, adding to the nostalgic charm. With a low density of camps, vehicles, and people, the area retains the atmosphere of a bygone era, free from crowds and commercialism that have transformed many safari destinations.

The remote destination’s uniqueness lies in its forest habitat, with the moody and mysterious atmosphere captured in your images, as well as the beauty of the Lower Zambezi. Light streams down like a cathedral through the dense canopy, casting a spectrum of colors from green and blue hues to vibrant oranges and reds. The numerous tree trunks create natural frames that perfectly highlight your subjects. The truly magical moments occur when exotic creatures stir up plumes of dust. Adding to the allure, leopards are abundant, and wild dogs roam freely. Along the river’s edge, elephants wade through shimmering shallows, and the golden reflections at sunrise and sunset create endless opportunities to capture the tranquil spirit of the Zambezi.

This signature safari takes you to three exceptional locations, each offering a distinctly different experience. Our first camp, situated within South Luangwa National Park, overlooks the banks of the Luangwa River, offering sweeping panoramic views. In addition to daily and twilight game drives, the camp features a dedicated photographic hide and an on-site editing suite. Next, we venture to the remote southern region, where our camp is nestled within a mahogany grove overlooking a series of waterholes, attracting a steady stream of wildlife. Finally, we journey to the Lower Zambezi, where the camp lies along the river beneath the enchanting forest canopy, offering the perfect finale to this diverse and immersive photographic adventure.
