The Generosity Expedition Begins

fbgenerosityexpedition

The Generosity Expedition, an extraordinary journey across much of northern Kenya, all the way to the border of Ethiopia, begins today! I have put up a simple map, with an estimate of our route, to show you the ground we will cover in just two short weeks. The Landy has been prepped over the past few months and fined tuned by the SunWorld team over the last few days. They are also providing all the logistical support for the expedition.

Thanks to so many of you who contributed to the Generosity Campaign. In the 6 short weeks of the campaign, we raised just over $8,000.00. The rains have come to Nairobi, but not up to the north, where they are in a state of drought. This means food is short, which causes a lot of stress. The food we will bring to the villages will be greatly appreciated. Follow the journey and see how your small act of kindness is helping brighten the lives of so many.

Since I first picked up the camera and stepped foot on the African continent, just 12 short years ago, I quickly came to believe that compelling imagery can make a difference in shaping the view of the world and play an important role in disseminating how cultures and wildlife are coping with the rapid changes happening in the push towards mass development. Through my experiences in these magical places, I also developed an extreme passion for inspiring others to get off the beaten path and experience these great-underexplored places while they still exist. It is through such a life-enriching experience that one individual can be deeply affected, changing their path in life.

It is my hope that, through this journey, you will be inspired to push your own creative boundaries and go beyond what you thought was possible.
